Sherry died peacefully in her sleep at 77 years old November 3, 2014 at her home in El Mirage AZ.

Daughter of Dale and Clara Matteson, born March 29, 1947 in Park Rapids MN. Attended and graduated from Akeley MN School in 1965. Moved to the Pacific NW and started nursing education at Tacoma WA. Met and married Michael David Martin on September 14, 1968. As a RN nurse, worked as epidemiologist at St. Joseph Hospital.
Sherry had daughter, Erica Lee Martin and son, Jesse David Martin and grandchildren, Gabriel and Noa.
After retirement lived in AZ and a log cabin on 11th Crow Wing Lake in Akeley MN. Loved gardening, music, sewing, reading, traveling, genealogy. Volunteered at the Paul Bunyon Museum. Buried at Akeley City Cemetery.
Proceded in death by father, mother and brother, Dale Matteson. Survived by husband, children and cats, Zz and Zander.
